Serendipity 2 Sailing Catamaran Hire

Serendipity 2 is a Lagoon 40 sailing catamaran built in 2018 and renovated in 2023. She is based at Alimos Marina in Athens and is offered as a bareboat charter for groups who want a modern catamaran for the Saronic Gulf and the nearby islands.

Length is 11.74 m with a beam of 6.76 m and a draught of about 1.4 m. Twin 45 HP engines, solar panels, a generator, air conditioning, and a watermaker support week-long cruising without a large crew. The sail plan is a furling / full batten mainsail with a genoa, plus bimini and sprayhood for shade in the Greek summer.

Up to 12 guests sleep on board. The layout is four double cabins, two single skipper cabins in the bows, and a saloon that converts with two extra berths. Five heads with showers keep the group from sharing a single bathroom. Pillows, blankets, and a fully equipped galley with fridge, oven, cooker, and utensils are included in the published charter package.

The cockpit table and cushions form the main outdoor living space, with helm stations outboard and a dinghy on davits with a solar panel on the transom. Inside, the saloon opens to the cockpit so meals can move between shade and the galley. This is a bareboat yacht: guests need a recognised sailing licence, or they can add a skipper through MG Yachts.

Published weekly rates start from EUR 2270 plus extras, with a security deposit of EUR 3500 as listed by MG Yachts.
