Discovery is a Lagoon 380 S2 sailing catamaran based at La Caletta on the east coast of Sardinia, Italy, run as a skippered day and multi-night charter with the skipper on board for every outing. At 11.55 metres on deck with a 6.53 metre beam and a 1.15 metre draft, she can sit in the pale shallows around Capo Comino, Berchida, and Santa Lucia that deeper keels skip. Solar panels, a large battery bank, a 220 volt inverter, and a watermaker let Discovery stay at anchor without a marina stop for power or water. She sails under the German flag with a German ship safety certificate from BG Verkehr, with a full inspection every two years covering hull, rig, engines, fire gear, and electrics. A skipper is included, so the party can use the hulls without holding a licence for Italian waters. Stand-up paddle boards and snorkel kit are on board for the day programme.

Day charters run about eight hours from 09:00 to 17:00 out of La Caletta, with days from 138 euros per person and exclusive days from 998 euros for up to eight guests.
