About Eclipse
Eclipse is a 42-foot motor catamaran from 2020, designed by Simonis Voogd and run as a private day boat on Table Bay. A covered main deck, flybridge and forward trampoline give the group room to spread out.
She is licensed for 40 guests with a crew of four. Four cabins are for overnight use only — day charters stay in the saloon, bar and decks. Twin 230 HP engines cruise at about 12 knots. Two heads, a cash-and-card bar and a galley cover food and drink; catering is arranged in advance.
The usual run is Granger Bay past the lighthouse and Sea Point toward Clifton, with Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles in view. The skipper changes course with the weather.
